Account & billing
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
From the Billing tab in your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately, you're charged the prorated difference right away. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you're paying for until then.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Use the cancel button in the Billing tab. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then moves to Free. Refunds are separate from cancelling: monthly plans have a 7-day refund window and annual plans a 30-day window, both counted from the paid charge. Contact us within that window and we'll refund that payment. See our Refund Policy for the full details.
What payment methods do you accept?
Stripe (major credit cards) and PayPal. Your payment details go straight to the payment processor and are never stored on our own servers.
How do I delete my account?
From Account Settings, submit a deletion request. This is reviewed rather than instant, so a compromised account can't be deleted by someone other than you as a way to cover their tracks.
Domain monitoring basics
How do I add a domain?
Type it into the Domains tab, or add many at once with bulk import: paste a list or upload a CSV. Either way we look up its expiration date, registrar, and status automatically, no manual entry needed.
How often does Expiroo recheck my domains?
About once a day, automatically, with no action needed from you. A failed check never overwrites good data or flips a domain to a worse status on its own, it only counts as a retry.
What does Expiroo actually check?
Domain expiry, uptime, SSL certificate validity, DNS record changes (nameservers, mail routing, certificate authorities), broken page dependencies, and a keyword you choose staying present on a page, depending on which checks you turn on for a given monitor.
Alert channels
How does email alerting work?
Email is on by default for every account. You'll get an alert at 90, 30, 14, 7, 3, and 1 days before a domain expires, and again if it expires, plus alerts for monitor checks you've enabled.
How do I connect Telegram?
From the Notifications tab (Pulse and Business plans), tap connect and open the deep link to our bot in Telegram, then send the code it gives you. One tap, no bot commands to memorize.
How do I connect WhatsApp?
From the Notifications tab (Business plan), follow the connect flow to message our WhatsApp number with a short verification code. You'll get a confirmation both on WhatsApp and by email once it's active.
How does the webhook channel work?
We send a signed POST request to a URL you provide, with an X-Expiroo-Signature header (HMAC-SHA256) you can verify against a secret shown in your Notifications settings. Use the test-send button there to confirm your endpoint is set up correctly before relying on it.
Why haven't I gotten an alert I expected?
Check your quiet hours setting first, non-critical alerts wait until quiet hours end (alerts for something already expired or expiring tomorrow always go through regardless). Also check your plan's daily alert cap and per-domain cooldown in Notification settings, and your notification history, which records every alert whether or not it was actually sent.
Chrome Extension
How do I install the extension?
Get it from the Chrome Web Store, click "Add to Chrome," then connect it to your account as described below.
How do I connect the extension to my account?
Click the Expiroo icon in your browser toolbar, then "Connect Expiroo Account." That opens expiroo.com/extension/connect in a new tab, where you log in (if needed) and approve the connection. The extension picks it up automatically.
How do I disconnect the extension?
Either from the extension's own options page (right-click the icon → Options → Disconnect), or from Account Settings → Connected Apps in your dashboard, which works even if you no longer have the extension installed.
The popup shows "Not connected" even though I connected it before, what happened?
Your connection was likely revoked, either by you from Account Settings, or because it expired. Reconnect the same way you did the first time, it takes a few seconds.
What data does the extension need?
Only the domain of the tab you're on when you click the icon, and only at that moment. Full details are in our Privacy Policy's Chrome Extension section.
Does the extension have the same free-check limits as the website?
Yes, exactly the same: 10 free checks a day if you're signed in on a Free plan, unlimited on a paid plan. It's the same underlying limit, not a separate one for the extension.
