Refund Policy

1. Overview
Expiroo is a subscription software service (SaaS). When you subscribe, you're buying access to Expiroo's online monitoring service, which is delivered digitally. There's no physical product to ship or return. Your access starts as soon as your paid subscription is set up through one of our payment providers, Stripe or PayPal.
Because the service is digital and access begins right away, refunds follow a fixed window tied to your paid charge. The windows are short and clearly stated below, so you always know where you stand. Expiroo also offers a 7-day free trial where available; the trial isn't a refundable purchase, because you're not charged during it.
Refund windows at a glance
7 days
Monthly plans, from the paid subscription charge
30 days
Annual plans, from the annual subscription charge
Counted from your paid charge, not from the start of the free trial. After the window, a refund isn't normally available for that payment.
2. Free trial
Where it's offered, Expiroo includes a 7-day free trial. During the trial:
- You're not charged for the trial period.
- You can use the features of the plan you selected.
- Unless you cancel first, the subscription converts to a paid subscription after the trial, on the terms shown to you at checkout.
- You can cancel any time before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.
The free trial is not a 7-day refund period. The refund window applies to a paid charge, and it starts on the day that charge is made. For example: if your free trial starts on the 1st and your first paid charge happens on the 8th, your refund window begins on the 8th, 7 calendar days for a monthly plan, or 30 calendar days for an annual plan.
3. Monthly subscription refunds
If you're on a monthly plan, you can request a refund within 7 calendar days of your paid subscription charge if the service isn't right for you. Your request needs to reach us within those 7 days, counted from the charge date. After the 7-day window, a refund isn't normally available for that monthly payment.
4. Annual subscription refunds
If you're on an annual plan, you can request a refund within 30 calendar days of your annual subscription charge if the service isn't right for you. After 30 calendar days, a refund isn't normally available for that annual payment.
5. How to request a refund
Email alerts@expiroo.com from the email address on your account and tell us you'd like a refund. To help us find your subscription quickly, please include:
- The email address on your account
- Your plan (monthly or annual, and which tier)
- The approximate date of the payment
- Your payment provider (Stripe or PayPal), if you know it
Please never send your full card number, security code (CVV), password, or any other sensitive payment credentials. We never need them to process a refund, and you should not share them with anyone by email.
6. How refunds are processed
Once we approve an eligible refund, we issue it back through the payment provider you used and to your original payment method: a payment made through Stripe is refunded through Stripe, and a payment made through PayPal is refunded through PayPal. After we issue a refund, the time it takes for the money to appear in your account can depend on your payment provider, bank, or card issuer, and is outside our control.
Stripe and PayPal are the payment processors that move the money. The decision to refund is made by Expiroo under this policy; it isn't a guarantee made by Stripe or PayPal.
7. Cancellation is not the same as a refund
These are two different things, and it's worth being clear about both:
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then moves to the Free plan. You can cancel yourself at any time from the Billing tab in your dashboard.
- A refund returns money from a payment you've already made, when your request qualifies under the windows above.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically issue a refund, and a payment that's outside its refund window isn't refunded just because you cancel. If you're still within your window and would like a refund, ask us as described in section 5.
8. Digital service, no physical returns
Expiroo provides digital software and online services. There are no physical products, so there's nothing to ship back, no return shipping, and no restocking fees. Everything is handled through your account and your payment provider.
9. Exceptions and your legal rights
A payment can only be refunded up to the amount actually paid, and a payment that has already been refunded can't be refunded again. This policy sets out Expiroo's commercial refund terms. It does not limit any mandatory rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
